
Mr. Joseph Regan
Senior Counsellor
Recently retired, Joseph is an experienced financial executive with a career spanning over forty years in global banking and investment management including extensive experience in Asia Pacific.
Until June 2024, he was the Chief Executive Officer of Alphadyne Asset Management for eleven years. Alphadyne manages macro and fixed income relative value investment strategies in global interest rates, foreign exchange, equity, commodity, and credit markets, in both developed and emerging market countries.
As Chief Executive, his responsibilities covered all functions other than portfolio management including risk management, legal, compliance, capital raising, investor relations, technology, investment operations and fund administration.
Under his leadership, Alphadyne grew to US$10 billion in assets under management across seven global offices. He organized the complex spin-out of Alphadyne’s original Asian business and then reestablished its presence in Asia across Japan, Hong Kong, and Singapore.
He began his career at PWC (formerly Coopers & Lybrand) before joining JPMorgan in 1986 where he spent the next twenty-eight years in numerous leadership capacities across Investment Banking and Asset Management including assignments in Hong Kong, Beijing and Shanghai.
He currently serves on the boards of several non-profit organizations including as Co-Chairperson of Leadership Roundtable, a Director of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of New York and as a Trustee of his alma mater, Saint Joseph’s University, Philadelphia.
